My Favorite Three Ways To Be Intentional With My Time

1. Be intentional with screen time

It's so easy to get distracted and costumed in social media these days. I know there are some times when I'll pick up my phone to check an email really quickly, and the next thing I know, I've been scrolling on Facebook for the past hour! Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying to remove social media from your life altogether, social media is great and allows us to connect, but we can not let it get to the point where it consumes our lives. Because the fact of the matter is we all only have so much time on earth, and I don't think anyone should look back and wonder if I spent my time wisely to be the best version of myself and help others to do the same.

2. Set timers for EVERYTHING

I set alarms to drink water, switch laundry, make dinner; when I say I set alarms for everything, I mean everything literally. If I don't do these things, they literally won't happen. A less crazy alternative for this is scheduling and time blocking. Allowing yourself to set your mind to a task and only that task for a certain amount of time, and once that time I up, it is time to leave that task. Doing things like this makes you actively intentional with your time; they are so simple and easy to implicate.

3. Take breaks

You're more productive when you can think clearly, so instead of wasting your time when you're tired and exhausted, WALK AWAY. Get a snack, take a nap, go for a walk. Let yourself have that time to recover and be your best self.
