3 Things to Know Before Doing a Boudoir Session

Updated: Sep 13, 2022

So, you have been thinking about it for a while and are finally going to take the leap and book a boudoir session, first of all, GO YOU! I know that leap seems terrifying right now and you have a million questions in the back of your mind, but the journey is so worth it. That is why today I am going over three things you should know before you book your boudoir session.

1.  Know that I got your back

The entire boudoir process can be overwhelming for a majority of women. You are most likely doing something out of your comfort zone, and now have to think about what do you need to bring, what to wear, etc. That is why I take the time to make the process as easy as possible for my clients! Every single one of my clients receives an extensive 20-page guide going over what to do a week before, a month before, what to bring, literally EVERYTHING you need to know. I have been curating and perfecting it over my five years in business. On top of the guide, each one of my clients receives a plethora of emails from us with more information on outfit ideas, color stories, and reminders. We always welcome an open line of communication here at Soul Shine Boudoir before, during, and after the shoot. My team and I always welcome any questions you may have! So know when you book a session with us, know that you will not have to worry about the details, we lay everything out for you.

2. You will leave knowing how to pose like a model

One frequent comment I receive from ladies is "I am not a model, I have no idea how to pose, so I cannot do a boudoir shoot!" Girl, you do not have to be a model to do a boudoir session, BUT you will leave feeling like one. With my years of expertise, I know how to pose you to flatter every curve. I will tell you everything you need to do down what to do with your nose and your toes! Over the years, I have even curated a list of poses with some pretty hilarious names, making them so much easier to remember. But seriously, I will walk you through every single pose that we will do, there is no need to know how to pose before the session.

3. You won't regret it

One thing I have heard from clients after their boudoir sessions at their ordering appointment is that they are already planning their next boudoir shoot. When you come into a boudoir session, with an open mind, it will be life-changing. You will see yourself from someone else's perspective. You will realize all those things about ourselves that we as women ridicule ourselves about are obsolete. You will be overwhelmed with a new sense of self-love and appreciation, and you will not regret it.
