Things to Bring to Your Boudoir Session That Aren't Lingerie

I always encourage ladies to bring different items to help personalize and customize their boudoir session. Boudoir sessions are about capturing your story and there are so many ways to highlight things you love and enjoy by bringing different items. If you are doing a session as a gift for someone, incorporating things they love into the pictures is also a great way to customize the gift even more. Today I will be talking about a plethora of various items to bring to your session that isn't lingerie, but will really pack a punch!

Favorite sports jersey

This one is a classic. If you are a die-hard sports fan or your significant other is, BRING THAT JERSEY! If you don't have a jersey handy, bring any sports paraphernalia you have laying around. It could be a hat, a flag, or a regular t-shirt. Anything to add that little touch into the session.

Mug

This goes out to all my coffee/tea drinkers that are addicted to buying mugs (I am guilty). But bring a mug that you love and we can take a cozy picture with it. While you are at it, throw in a cozy sweater too 😉.

Book

My book lovers, this is for you. Same with the mug idea above, just imagine yourself with a cozy sweater on, some cute panties sitting on the bed with a book.... AMAZINGGGG! These pictures always turn out so cute and fun.

Shoes

I know we all have those pairs of shoes that we absolutely love. These could be a pair of boots, heels, sneakers, or ANYTHING. It adds such a cute flair to some of the shots.

Something from a hobby

These are always my FAVORITES. I have had ladies bring paint brushes, cigars, rollerblades, yoga mats, bikes, seriously the list goes on. Nothing is too crazy to incorporate into your session, TRUST ME. They highlight you, your personality, and I am able to capture you while you are in your element.

Side note- I know, especially here in western Pennsylvania, hunting is a MAJOR thing. If you or your spouse is into it, let me know and we can find a way to incorporate something into your session!

Here are some different hobbies that come to mind, they may spark some inspiration if they apply to you;

Working out

Horse riding

A form of art/craft

Hiking

Cooking/baking

Dancing

Hunting/fishing

Music

Biking

Snowboarding/ skiing

As I said, nothing is too crazy to incorporate, if you have an idea, just shoot me an email, and I will create a way to link it to your session!

Something from work

I swear we always have the most fun with these ones. The sessions that comes to mind are one client that brought a wrench from her husband's work, and another that brought a lineman's harness. Seriously, these turn out amazing and are so fun to add to a gift for someone special.

Your favorite drink

This can be alcoholic or nonalcoholic, but seriously bring your favorite drink! I have so many pictures of ladies with wine bottles, and bottles of jack, the shots are TO DIE FOR! They add a fun and personalized flair to a bunch of different poses!

Meaningful jewelry

This can be a necklace, ring, bracelet, etc. Anything that is a part of your story for one reason or another. We can get some very beautiful pictures with these pieces incorporated.

These are all just a few things that come to mind. If you have anything that means something to you and your story, I encourage you to bring it to your session.
